And I mean good Yellowstone. Talking season 2, season 3 Yellowstone, not season 5 where things got a little bit loose. guns, a revenge plan, an imposing villain, a little gratuitous nudity, a dead body. We see all of this in the first four seconds. I'm not joking. Watch again. If either of you want to walk, I won't hold it against you. I'll be right next to you. After that, we get a real sense of the plot for season 1, as well as which main characters are with Beth and Rip, and which definitely aren't. And somehow, Bula already knows part of the story, which speaks to her cunning. Now, I don't think we'll get a knockdown dragout Allah Beth and Summer Higgins because Annette Benning is 67 years old. But the mental torture should be wonderful television. I do think there's going to be casualties. I suppose if I was a smart YouTuber, I would tease a major death until the very end of this video, but I'm not a patient man. So, let's get to it. And you remember that half- naked woman from the beginning of this video? Pay close attention to this scene from the trailer. You can't chase peace. You got to live it. Let's go back as Rip is talking about peace. We see Carter and his girl on a truck bed and then they're kissing. Then we see a medvac taking off with what looks to be Beth, Oriana, and maybe Ed Harris's character watching. Then, yeah, Oriana has just come across some trauma. I do not think that Finn Little's character Carter gets killed during season 1 of Dutton Ranch, but I think he probably comes close. That would set up Rip and Beth to do some very Rip and Bethlike things. Note who is not present when Rip says this. [music] If either one of you want to walk, I won't hold it against you or with you. I'm not going to get too deep into which side characters on which side of this fight, but I'm pretty sure that this guy is team Bula and this guy is team Dutton. Hollywood legend Ed Harris is also part of the show as Everett [music] McKini and he definitely looks to be team Dutton even if he sometimes works in enemy territory. There is this early scene. You met Miss Ria Paloma herself. She's an acquired taste. And later this one. Thought I'd seen my last firefighter. One way to always tell good guys from bad guys on a Taylor Sheridan show is the bad guys cover their faces as seen here. If I were to list the odds of different characters dying in season 1, I might put old Everett up top. Taylor Sheridan's not afraid to kill A-listers. See John Ham and Landman. And it's always good to hedge a bit on actors in their 70s. Dutton Ranch begins with two episodes on May 15th. You can find them on Paramount Plus and then at 8:00 PM Eastern that night on Paramount Network, which is the same channel we used to watch Yellowstone on. Season 1 has nine episodes, which means the finale should be coming around July 3rd. No word on season 2 other than the show's showrunner Chad Feehan is out after season 1 because no one was really satisfied with the job he did. That's not super encouraging, but we'll see. What is encouraging is the level of depth that this trailer offers. Sure, we see Rip and Beth creating violence and chaos like this. You can't chase peace. You got to live it. Then peace will have to wait. But we also see real fear in their eyes. I cannot wait to watch the panic as the Dutton ranch burns down. No one understands what we've done to protect this ranch. No one knows what we do. Hold on. There also appears to be a bit of random like, "What the heck's this cheetah doing in South Texas?" And I'm pretty sure there's going to be a lot more great music. Not only is talented country singer Morgan Wade cast as Carol, a seall bartender. The trailer relies on a great Willie Nelson song from 1968. Did you hear it? Welcome to Texas, honey. to beautiful. That song is called Beautiful Texas. And honestly, it's not an all-time great Willie Nelson song, but it works pretty well here.
