Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban show signs of a fresh start after divorce
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are moving forward after their divorce, revealing significant changes in their lives that mark a new chapter for both. Recent public appearances have showcased their individual transformations, countering unfounded rumors and social media speculation regarding their post-divorce journeys.
Keith Urban has made noticeable alterations to his performance setlist, including the removal of songs that are closely associated with his marriage to Nicole. One notable change is the exclusion of "The Fighter," a duet with Carrie Underwood that had drawn unwelcome attention due to its connection to the former couple. Although Keith has performed it many times over the years, its deletion from recent setlists underscores a desire to shift away from the painful associations linked to their past.
Fans have also noticed Keith's absence of his wedding ring during live performances, a clear signal of his fresh start. The decision to forgo the ring highlights the emotional adjustment he is navigating as he embraces this new phase of his life.
On the other hand, Nicole has been undergoing her own transformation. A recent haircut, affectionately dubbed "breakup bangs," reflects her new beginnings. Her appearance at high-profile events, including a Chanel fashion show in Paris alongside their daughters, Sunday and Faith, emphasizes her commitment to her career and personal evolution post-divorce.
The living arrangements following the divorce indicate a significant shift in family dynamics. Nicole will have their daughters living primarily with her, with Keith able to see them for only 59 days a year, mostly on weekends and holidays. This arrangement has likely contributed to the adjustments both parents are making as they redefine their roles in their daughters' lives.
Professionally, Nicole is redoubling her efforts, landing notable roles in projects such as "Lioness" and "Discretion," both with Paramount Plus. Her continuous focus on work appears to be a strategy for coping with the emotional complexities of divorce, channeling her energy into creative endeavors.
As they both continue to adapt to their new realities, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are finding ways to express their feelings and navigate this challenging time. Through changes in their public lives, appearances, and professional commitments, they illustrate a shared journey of resilience and transformation. Each is stepping into a new season, embracing the opportunities ahead while reflecting on their past. Whether through music or acting, the focus remains on evolving and growing individually and as co-parents for their daughters.

[Music] This is Nicole Kidman. And can you tell what's missing? Actually, there's a couple things missing in these pictures because after one week, she's moved on. New month, new me, right? Okay, probably not. I mean, even if she and Keith Urban have been talking about divorce for months, it still hurts, right? You let me know in the comments section. How long does it take post divorce to feel good again? This video is going to zoom in on what's changed already for Keith and Nicole. Both have made several public appearances, and both have been the victims of really irresponsible rumors, plus some bad actors on social media. We don't do that here, and subscribers really appreciate it. I made an entire video explaining the truth about Keith and his guitarist, Mangi Ball, last week, so I won't go very far down that rabbit hole other than to say we pretty much proved it's only a professional relationship. find a link in the description section. Maggie actually didn't appear on stage with Keith during his first weekend back, and I guess that's a change in some kind of way. However, it's not unusual. A look at her Instagram page shows that she's got her own very busy touring schedule, and a look at Keith Urban Concert Archives shows that multi-instrumentalist Natalie Stoval plays as many or more shows with Keith as Maggie. Plus, I think Maggie has a boyfriend. And, you know, Keith has historically preferred really tall blondes like Nicole and model Nikki Taylor. I said I wasn't gonna go down this rabbit hole, but yet here I am. One big change Keith did make immediately is he cut the fighter from his set. And I do believe this was in response to the unfortunate attention the song received from that Maggie Ba video that I just showed you. The song's a duet with Carrie Underwood, but it was partially inspired by Nicole. So, even though Keith has played with the lyrics dozens of times, and he's promised a bunch of people, including Carrie Underwood, that he'd be their fighter, it became a source of negative attention. I hope he brings it back in 2026, but we'll see. He did make one other lyrical change that people are kind of freaking out about. Take a listen. Take his face and stupid. >> You'll think of me as the song that he's singing at this October 4th show in Virginia. And the comments are sort of split on if he always sings the song with so much vengeance. I actually think I have heard him say stupid BS reasons, but this next part's new to me. >> And you wish to treat it as a way. I got to hear that again. >> You can't sleep and you wish to God you had the treatment as a way. >> If you can translate that, I owe you a beer. Drop it in the comments section below. Clearly Keith's a little bit angry, but who knows if he's just performing or not. I think there's probably a little bit of truth in there. Obviously, he's processing because a few eagle-eyed fans noticed that Keith quit wearing his wedding ring on stage. And that has to feel pretty strange, right? But so has Nicole. That's one of the two things missing from that original picture of her at the start of this video. You see her without that huge diamond wedding band on. I went ahead and did some paparazzi type research to make sure it was on her hand for the rest of the year, including at the ACM awards in May. And yep, she was really never spotted without it. Did you figure out the other thing missing from that picture? Once again, here is the original photo. And here is Nicole from two days prior. girl got herself some breakup bangs and yeah, why the heck not? I mean, it was a girl's trip to Paris and that deserves a new haircut. All right, I forgot to mention that Nicole's daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret were with her at the Chanel fashion show in Paris on Tuesday. And if you were hoping for some kind of clue from them about what went wrong, well, all you're going to get is a lot of teenage side eye. This is perhaps the biggest change for the Urban Kidman family. For the divorce filing, Keith is only guaranteed to see his girls for 59 days a year. It's basically Sundays and every other weekend. I think he can do a few holidays and a little vacation as well, but Nicole is the primary guardian with over 300 days a year with her girls. This all comes from the divorce documents, by the way. It's 36 pretty boring pages that make sure nobody is going to see some sort of ugly divorce play out in a courtroom. The October 6th appearance was actually Nicole's second since the split because two days prior she presented Taylor Sheridan with an award at an AIDS research gala in Dallas. Taylor is the creator of Yellowstone and Lionus which pays Nicole $1 million an episode for Paramount Plus and they just announced a season 3. That's the final big change. Nicole is going to be working her butt off through this grief with shows like Lioness and another called Discretion that's set for Paramount Plus. As for Keith, his tour wraps up October 17th in Nashville. I'm Billy Dukes for Taste of Country. Thanks for watching and thanks for subscribing.
