I uh spoke with Thomas Rhett uh yesterday and um there's something that they're going to do with their fifth baby as far as the gender reveal that is kind of weird to me. I think I want to talk about it. See what you think. >> Gota be tough spicing up a fifth baby reveal, but we'll get to that here in just a little bit. Plus, I you know me, I love talking about Gavin Adcock and Zack Bryan. We got to bring up the fight that wasn't this week earlier this week. But before we do all of that, I always like to bring a trivia question. All right. Now, the problem is Billy Dukes is stupid smart when it comes to country. And every time I read off my trivia question, he's always like, "Oh, halfway through." >> I'm bringing it today here. All right. So, I wrote this down. I want to make sure I have it here. I love Willie Nelson. Everyone does. And if you don't, you should. Here is my trivia question. Willie Nelson won a Grammy in 1980 for his song On the Road Again. We'll get to that answer here in a little bit. But let's start off. Anytime we offer an apology, we got to get started with that. Billy Dukes, why do you owe owe Old Dominion an apology? Okay, this week Old Dominion uh announced they've canceled a few shows in California, but a week ago Matt Ramsey was on a podcast, the Bobby Bones podcast, and he revealed that Old Dominion Old Dominion drummer Whit Sellers um had crippling social anxiety. And this explains a lot of things in my mind. Um for really since the pandemic, Wit's been out of the picture. And at first it was like kind of quizzical. Maybe he was just being extra safe. But then as the pandemic sort of wrapped up, you began to kind of wonder where is Wit? He wasn't showing up on red carpets. He wasn't showing up for interviews. And for years, five, six years, it was always all five members of the band showing up for all of these things. Wit never really said too much on camera. Off camera, he was a nice enough guy. Kind of kept to himself. You never really heard anything from him. But no one really knew what was up with Wit until finally uh there's this confession that he has this crippling social anxiety and the band members amongst themselves agreed that Wit could sit out all of these sort of events. He only if there was music played would he need to be on site. Um and that was kind of the agreement that they came to. But Matt Ramsey said something pretty interesting. He said that when people found would see Whit back kind of in the corner not talking during an interview, they would go out of their way to try to get Whit to talk and they would put a big spotlight on the guy who was looking to avoid the spotlight. And you want to know who was 100% guilty? Like I've never felt more seen than anyone in my life. And as someone who understands social anxiety, like I am not like insensitive to this. Like how I miss that. That wit was just wits. He didn't want this to happen. Wit, Matt, Trevor, Jeff, Brad, my bad, man. I apologize. I joked about this on camera and off camera about Wit not wanting to appear. I think I even high-fived Wit once at the end interview and said, "Hey, Whit, high five on getting through another interview without saying a thing." Like I like I would I would joke about this. And now I want to add to that. I've I've been in the same scenario and uh I've even like uh I've even like All right, Matt and the rest of the guys. I've talked to you guys enough. We just talked like a month ago. I want to talk to Whit. Whit's right here and I never get to talk to Whit. Whit, come here, man. Grab a mic. and then proceeded to ask him questions and got like a you know >> oh man >> I will say I've been in the room with both of y'all when all of this has happened and I can say they are telling the truth but in in y'all's defense I will say they never clarified even when cameras were off of like hey he you know even Wit said hey I have some social anxiety can you not interview me like in y'all's defense you didn't know >> yeah But it is unfortunate that you did put him in that position of various times. >> When has I didn't know ever been a valid excuse for something? Like in general, if you're saying I didn't know, you're you're on shaky ground. >> I got a pretty long list of things that I didn't know that I got in trouble for. And you know, you'll be surprised how far that will get you. And like Addison said, I think you'd be a bigger jerk like if you didn't try to include him. You know what I'm saying? So, I don't think either one of you guys did it wrong. I appreciate you guys saying you're sorry, but I don't think you really have to apologize for it. You're good people, Billy Dukes. Thomas Wright and his wife are expecting their fifth baby. Um, and so when I had the chance to talk to them, I was like I knew in my head that I wanted to ask if they were done having kids, but you know, that's always like a sticky situation. You don't want to like really ask somebody and you know, but so I I asked them. I was like, you know, I my in was, you know, hey man, if this turns out, you know, Pleasantries out, if this turns out to be a boy, you or a girl, are you are y'all going to try for another boy? Check out what he said. >> But no, we're we're genuinely excited, bro. And due dates in March, and we're going to wait uh until the day of, man, to figure out what the gender is, which is uh which is terrifying for me. Um, but there's not many surprises left in this world, you know, and I and I feel like that's one that you kind of you get to be surprised with if you choose to. So, >> so out of the all their kids, he's they've never done this. They are taking the route of they want to see the baby's deal when it arrives to find out what it is. >> I don't know. I don't know. Now, I've got two kids. I got one of each and I knew ahead of time. And I I cannot imagine just from the fact of all the crap you got to buy for a baby >> and if you don't put on blue or pink, let's be real, all babies look the same until they're like two years old. >> Ugly. >> You know what I'm saying? So I'm entering with the knowledge of like y'all all have experience. I do not. However, I will say I'm one of three. All of us were surprises in the sense that they had no clue. They thought I was a boy. Like I was coming as Max, all of a sudden they're like, "Whoa, girl, Addison." >> I am very pro not finding out the gender. Like to your point of needing to know blue or pink, but when the baby's first born, you don't need the nursery 100% put together as long as you have a crib, a changing station, like the essentials. But a I don't want to say a family, a relationship did break up in country music this world, and it was a big one with Kelsey Ballerini. >> It was Kelsey Ballerini and Chase Stokes, they've been dating for three years. We found out recently that they broke up. What was interesting about the timing is two days prior to the announcement of the breakup, Chase wrote this very long, kind birthday Instagram post saying, you know, I adore you. All these loveydovey things. 48 hours later, we hear news that they broke up. Now, however, we there it is right there. We neither one of them have personally said that they have broken up. All of this has come from quote >> other sources. I read on Cosmopolitan last night that the reason why they broke up allegedly per a source was that Chase was jealous of Kelsey, her career. Um, I will say that's not We can go down that rabbit hole if we want, but the reason why I thought that they might not have ended up together is he wants children and she doesn't. My thought with the timing of the birthday is like you're getting another year older. You might naturally come into conversation of like, hey, what is the next five years look like? Like our kids in the mix? Chase really wants kids. Kelsey has kind of been vocal before with her past relationship with um ex-husband Morgan Evans that kids might not necessarily be something that she desires. Kelsey Ballerini, Carly Pierce, dating lives a little similar. They're both going after these these hot looking bad boys and they're trying to make them settle down and all that. Go to Baskin Robbins and get your kid a birthday cake and fall in love with the guy behind the counter. quit trying to date all these famous guys because it's just not working. >> Wow. Someone's going to get jealous of someone else's career. I mean, we did have a Tim and Faith, but look, Faith is no longer in the spotlight. Like, there's not a I guess Trisha and G, but there's very few that do it well when you're both at 100% trying to pursue your careers. Do you have time for each other? >> Yeah. Come on. >> Well, let's talk about another fight. I'm talking about the physical fight. Earlier this week, last week, we talked about the Zack Bryan and Gavin Atcock whole like head-to-head thing. And it came to a head literally last weekend in Oklahoma with Zack Bryan jumping over a barbedwire fence to fight Gavin Adcock before a show. Now, Gavin Adcock did not fight him. All right? So, like here's the clip of it. Zach's talking. They're talking trash through the fence >> and then Zach goes total wild, man, and climbs the fence. Security intervenes. Gavin goes up, plays his show, and then afterwards continue to talk trash on social media. My thing is, as a man, and I've been very vocal before, I hate it when artists cancel shows. Like sometimes I understand you got to do it, but for me I would be okay with you getting into a fist fight and showing up to your set an hour late after handling everything than doing what went down. And I'm a Gavin Hadcock fan. >> No. No. Like I like that he didn't get into the fight and showed up on time for his set. I mean if I was in the audience and Jo is on stage an hour late because he's out there fist fighting, man. Oh, no. >> No. It's if you're in country music, it's one thing if you're Colobby Calala, like you don't want to get in a fight before your show and go on stage and sing bubbly with a black eye. But if you're Gavin Adcock, you performing on stage with a fifth of whiskey and going for you to show up with your shirt off hammered bloody like that. That would be the show of the century. >> Well, and here's the thing. Like in country music, we have like we still to this day glorify like these dudes who showed up wild out of control. George Jones, you know, all these cast that would show up and do everything. If you run your mouth as a man, if somebody comes to cash that check, you got to go. Like you you've got to you've got to do a fist fight. I mean, no, there's too many people there. It wasn't going to get out of control. Nobody's going to get hurt. I mean, I gained respect for Gavin Radcock here. Like, I feel like to this point, all he's he's done is sort of run his mouth and he made a great business decision. Did you say that when when Zack hit that fence, Gavin didn't flinched coming over the fence? He backed up, but security got in the way there. Like I Zack Bryant would have got pummeled by Gavin Adcock. He's a big college middle linebacker. And Wood, you're a bouncer. You know, those middle linebackers when they show up at the at those nose tackles, when they show up at the bar, they're looking to fight. They'll fight anybody and anybody. But he wasn't looking to fight. I'll take the guy who was willing to climb over barbed wire to get into a fight in the fight. That's like that's a honeybadger move right there. I think it is the greatest sport in the history of the world. And my daughter knows 0.0 zero about it. So, I've been doing football pickups against my daughter. >> This is week three and I believe you have the video uh here uh Billy of it all and I'm actually losing to my daughter in picking games. >> I will say that's also how I pick. Big time matchup in the Sunshine State. Miami taking on Florida. I'm going to go with Miami. What about you? >> I'm going to do the Ducks. Quack. >> And we're headed out west for the last one.
