The 2015 Grammy Awards nominees are being announced slowly, with country's hottest stars earning early nods.

Ed Sheeran and Pharrell announced four initial categories during an appearance on 'CBS This Morning' on Friday (Dec. 5), including Best Country Album. Though female artists have had a notably hard time at country radio this year, they dominated the country nominations, with Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack and newcomer Brandy Clark all earning nods.

Taylor Swift is also nominated in the all-genre Record of the Year category for 'Shake It Off,' her first official foray into pop.
