Christmas in New York City just got a little more country. Trisha Yearwood and LeAnn Rimes have signed on to perform during the 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' television special in 2014.

This year marks the 82nd year of the tradition, which helps kick off the holiday season with a ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center. The 2014 tree lighting will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 3, with live performances from 7–9 PM. The proceedings will air live on NBC.

Other artists featured on this year's broadcast will include Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Cyndi Lauper, Seth MacFarlane and Sara Bareilles, Idina Menzel and Pentatonix, as well as ‘Today’ show anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Natalie Morales.

The tree is an 85-foot Norway Spruce from Hemlock Township, Pa. According to NBC, the Rockefeller tree is around 90 years old and weighs about 13 tons. It will remain lit until 8PM on Jan. 7, 2015.
