Canadian country singer Anne Murray scored her fifth No. 1 hit with 'Could I Have This Dance,' from the soundtrack to the hit John Travolta film 'Urban Cowboy.' The song became a career single, earning her a Grammy in 1980 for Best Country Vocal Performance.

Musically, the track uses a lush arrangement to underscore Murray's rich voice, while the lyric is simple, yet direct, appealing to the longing for lasting love -- a perfect theme for a Top 100 Country Love Songs addition. "Could I this dance for the rest of my life / Would you be my partner every night / When we're together it feels so right / Could I have this dance for the rest of my life," she sings.
