Oh, Boy! Ashley Monroe Steps Into a Bikini to Share More Baby News

Ashley Monroe is pregnant with her first child, and it's a boy! The singer revealed the good news on Instagram over the weekend alongside of a photo of herself in a bikini, her baby bump protruding from beneath a cover-up as she pointed to a blue banner that read "Baby Boy."

"It's a BABY BOY!! A big one I have a feeling," she says.

Monroe announced her pregnancy on Christmas Day with a sonogram of her little bundle of joy. "Best present ever. Merry Christmas everyone.. so many new things coming in 2017!!"

The singer and her husband, Atlanta Braves pitcher John Danks, married in a private ceremony at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee in October of 2013. Friend and duet partner Blake Shelton officiated the wedding, while Miranda Lambert helped plan the festivities.

“I married my best friend,” she told People magazine after the big day, adding, “It was magical.”

In addition to a baby on the way, there have been rumors that Monroe will reunite with Lambert and Angaleena Presley for their trio Pistol Annies. The group previously released two albums, Hell on Heels in 2011 and Annie Up in 2013, but went on hiatus so each singer could focus on their solo career. Monroe has since released two critically-acclaimed solo albums; 2013’s Like a Rose and The Blade in 2015. In July of 2016 the trio reunited onstage at a Lambert concert to perform “Hell on Hells,” and in an interview with Fuse last year, Monroe said she feels like a new recording project “is definitely brewing.”
