Blake Shelton’s country career began early. He was playing guitar and writing his own songs before he could legally drive a car, and by 17 — three years after older brother Richie died — he’d moved to Nashville to chase his dreams. It would take awhile, as Shelton wouldn’t release ‘Austin’ until eight years later. From there, his career was a series of highs and lows until he released ‘Home,’ a Michael Buble cover. The single would hit No. 1, beginning a streak of songs reaching that mark. Shelton’s television appearances also picked up, first as a judge on ‘Nashville Star,’ then ‘Clash of the Choirs,’ and finally. ‘The Voice.’ Personally, his life has had ups and downs, but his romance with Miranda Lambert is solid as a rock. They married on May 14, 2011.
