Ben Whisler has just released the happy-go-lucky video for his debut single, "Can't Complain," and he's letting Taste of Country readers in on the fun before anyone else.

The 21-year-old East Tennessee native attended Belmont University in Nashville, where he began to focus on pursuing a music career in earnest. Whisler recorded demos of some of his songs, and after a conversation with producer/engineer Johnny Dibb, he began to assemble the tracks for his debut EP.

The young singer-songwriter wrote all of the songs on Can’t Complain, including fun party songs like “Float” and the title track, as well as other key tracks “I Could Get Used to This” and “Worth a Shot”. The EP also features an emotional piano ballad titled “Damn This Rain," which Whisler considers a “writer’s song”.

“I always told myself that I wasn’t going to release music until I felt that I had found the sound I thought truly represented me as a writer and as an artist," he says. "I feel Can’t Complain is as close as we could get.”

The video for the title track is making its world premiere on Taste of Country. Shot in Music City, the clip centers around a porch party with a big group of friends, featuring Whisler and his band playing the rocking track live.

The Can't Complain EP is currently available for free download at Whisler's official website, and can be streamed below. Keep up with Whisler by following him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
