A cover song and a Christmas song make up two of the best Kenny Rogers duets with Dolly Parton. This Top 5 list also includes a timeless country collaboration and a relatively new offering.

"Islands In the Stream" was first, but across three decades Parton and Rogers recorded dozens of songs together. Their Once Upon a Christmas album from 1984 is a holiday standard — their song "The Greatest Gift of All" is an all-time Christmas duet! Later recordings might be forgotten, but only because newer music replaced them in one's memory.

Making the list is Parton and Rogers' most recent duet, "You Can't Make Old Friends." The 2013 reunion came 30 years after they first recorded the famous love song together, and they proved their claim that time does not add rust to a great friendship. "Real Love" from Parton's 1985 album of the same name makes this Best Rogers and Parton Songs list. So does their cover of Mickey & Sylvia's "Love Is Strange." The country version keeps the integrity of the '50s R&B classic while making the song accessible to a new generation.
