Blake Shelton fans sure got their fill of good news regarding the singer this morning (Feb. 11). Not only did he share his 'Sure Be Cool If You Did' video, but the singer also confirmed that he will release a new album entitled 'Based on a True Story…' on March 26.

That's right around the corner, so it won't be too long of a wait to indulge in a full album's worth of Shelton tunes. Good news regarding Shelton really does abound!

The superstar -- who is easily one of the busiest stars in country music thanks to his own successful career as an artist, as well as his role as a winning judge on 'The Voice' -- revealed on 'Today' that he managed to think about the way things are going while enjoying some rare down time in January.

"I had some time off in January, and kind of reflected on last year and the way this one is starting with the new single," Shelton told the show's hosts. Of course he had to inject a little self-deprecating, typical Blake humor, saying, "I try not to think too hard about this stuff, because once I start thinking about stuff I tend to screw it up."

'Based on a True Story...' will be Shelton's eighth studio release. The album is scheduled to drop the day after the Season 4 premiere of 'The Voice,' so Shelton sure has good timing there. The show is the perfect platform to help launch and promote his latest release -- and that probably isn't a coincidence, either.

Shelton also joked about premiering his new video on 'TODAY,' saying, "Any show that purposely says they have 130 days of drinking in a row, that's the show I want to debut my video on because they'll be drunk enough that they'll actually think it's a good video!"

Drunk or not, it actually is a good video, Blake!
