Days after the 2016 Republican National Convention wrapped, Blake Shelton posted on Twitter asking one very important question:

"Is it too late for me to run? I'll make @LukeBryanOnline my VP and @adamlevine my b---h..." he writes.

Judging by the number of retweets (1,408) and likes (5,582) on his post, Shelton may be onto something. Even possible running mate Luke Bryan retweeted his suggestion as fans commented on how he'd have a beautiful first lady in Gwen Stefani. It wouldn't be a half bad idea as another fan added that he'll need a first lady who can command a crowd and Stefani can surely accomplish this.

Shelton likely won't bring chaos to the presidential race, but he will certainly bring laughter and some surprises as can be seen from some of his previous concerts. After Stefani surprised Shelton fans when taking the stage to perform with him for his 40th birthday at Country Jam 2016, the "She's Got a Way with Words" singer returned the favor recently during two of Stefani's concerts earlier this month in Virginia.

On July 16, Shelton walked out on stage with guitar in hand at Stefani's concert to deafening screams to perform the couple’s duet “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” off his latest album If I’m Honest. One fan captured the moment on YouTube, and Shelton can be seen all smiles and singing along with Stefani during her verse on the song. The following evening (July 17), Shelton also appeared at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Va., to duet with Stefani.

Meanwhile, the Democratic National Convention begins today (July 25) at Wells Fargo Center in Pennsylvania.
