Blake Shelton's new hit 'Over' won the inaugural Showdown on Taste of Country Nights last night, besting 'The Wind' by Zac Brown Band by a 2-to-1 margin. This means the song will face another country hit in the quest to go five-for-five and be retired to the Showdown Hall of Fame. Tonight, the emotional ballad from the 'Red River Blue' album will face-off against 'Shinin' on Me,' the lead single from Jerrod Niemann's upcoming album.

Niemann's mellow hit falls in line with what fans appreciated from the two Top 10 hits from his previous album. It's just an easy love song with no intentions other than putting a smile on your face. The 'Lover, Lover' hitmaker will release the new 'Free the Music' album on Oct. 2.

Listen to clips of both songs and vote here, or catch the full versions tonight after 10PM CT on Taste of Country Nights. You can listen to the show online through any of the 34 radio stations that carry it. Voting will end tonight at 10:40PM CT. Remember, you can cast your vote a second time by calling to (888) 678-9995.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. If a song wins five days in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
