Blake Shelton may be in trouble with girlfriend Gwen Stefani after playing a round of "Name That Song" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The country star wasn't bashful in telling the host that the only reason he came on the show was to promote his album, but he still got roped into playing a game. In "Name That Song" the Roots play a song one instrument at a time and the players have to guess what song it is.

Shelton disappointed country fans everywhere when he wrongly guessed Dolly Parton's "Jolene" as a song by the Doobie Brothers, and then again when he jumped the gun and thought "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" was Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again."

Three Times Gwen Stefani Shaped Blake Shelton's New Album

But the real hiccup came when the Roots started to play Stefani's signature hit "Hollaback Girl," puzzling both Fallon and Shelton before the late night host finally figured it out, putting Stefani's boyfriend to shame.

"All I know is that Blake is in a lot of trouble right now," Fallon said as the country star disgracefully took a seat on the late-night stage.

"I came to this show to promote my album and I'm losing everything," Shelton shouted before redeeming himself by correctly guessing the winner-takes-all number, "Footloose."

After a series of stumbles during the game, Shelton put himself back in the good graces of country fans with a soft spoken performance of his latest single "I Lived It," offering a gentle vocal performance of the earnest song that serves as one of his most stripped-down releases in recent memory.

"I Lived It" could become Shelton's 26th chart-topping hit — it's currently climbing its way up the chart, sitting at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
