Country rocker Bo Bice has welcomed home his fourth child. His wife, Caroline, gave birth to Merrin Elizabeth Joy Bice on Monday, April 23. The 8-pound, 11-ounce little girl is said to being doing great, as is her mother.

The former 'American Idol' singer announced the happy news on his official website on Tuesday. Merrin is the first little girl for the Bices, joining three big brothers -- Adain (2005), Caleb (2008) and Ean (2010). Bo and Caroline were married in June 2005, just weeks after he finished second to Carrie Underwood on 'Idol.'

Fans have been leaving the now short-haired singer and his family well-wishes on his official Facebook page. Bice will have some time to care for the newborn before he hits the road again. According to his website, his spring and summer touring commitments don't resume until May 10 in Murfreesboro, N.C.

Since finishing the reality television show, Bice has released three albums. His most recent project is called '3' and features the single 'You Take Yourself With You.' In March, he told Billboard that he's been painting and selling his artwork in recent years while working on a Christian EP.
