Singer-songwriter Canaan Smith is setting himself up for an unforgettable 2015. The up-and-comer was named an artist to watch by many outlets, but that's not the only exciting development for the Virginia native — Smith also has new music in the works.

Smith will release his highly-anticipated debut EP, the self-titled Canaan Smith, on March 24. The EP contains his latest song to go to radio, "Love You Like That," as well as four new tracks. Produced by Brett Beavers and Jimmy Robbins, the EP will be released by Mercury Records Nashville.

“The creation of music, the whole process, has been so close to me for so many years that I feel like I’ve developed my own sound," Smith notes. "It’s not super predictable. It’s unique, progressive and edgy."

The country newcomer's style strikes a balance between the soulful sounds of traditional country music and the upbeat melodies of modern country music. His songs range from heartfelt, poetic melodies to fist-bumping tunes.

Smith recently finished touring with Kip Moore, and he will join Dan + Shay on the Where It All Began tour next week. The run kicks off in Knoxville, Tenn., on Feb. 28. Tickets and additional information can be found at CanaanSmith.com.
