Country icon Carrie Underwood graced the stage of the 2015 CMT Music Awards for her first television appearance since her son was born in February 2015. The artist looked stunning in a beautiful black gown with a shimmering skirt and touches of fringe, belting "Little Toy Guns," recorded for her greatest hits album and released in February 2015. The stage was alight with gold, highlighting her classic beauty and glamour.

Underwood nailed the vocal performance, singing with pure passion and raw talent as she took command of the stage. There was no doubt the diva is back and ready for action.

It was clear at the end of her performance the artist was genuinely overjoyed to be back on stage doing what she loves, as her smile beamed from where she stood to the audience and her husband in the crowd. The audience was just as glad to have her at the mic again.

Underwood won two awards earlier in the evening, including Collaborative Video for her duet with Miranda Lambert, "Somethin’ Bad," and Female Video of the Year for her moving ballad "Something In the Water." She also played Nashville’s famous Grand Ole Opry this week, marking the 10th anniversary of her debut on the iconic stage.

After her outstanding performance tonight, it’s probably safe to say fans around the world are rejoicing that Underwood is in the spotlight again.
