Hear Carrie Underwood’s ‘Sunday Night Football’ Theme in Full

Carrie Underwood adds her powerhouse vocals to the new theme song for Sunday Night Football. Fans can now hear the song in its entirety.

The song "Oh, Sunday Night" is an adaptation of Underwood's 2014 hit with Miranda Lambert, "Somethin' Bad." The singer worked with songwriters Chris DeStefano, Brett James and Priscilla Renea to rewrite the lyrics to the song for Sunday Night Football. The result is an ode to football, produced by Mark Bright and Chris DeStefano.

In the song, Underwood praises the sport:

"America's game been waiting all day / The best of the best have come to play / The gang's all here, let's turn it up / It's the NFL can't get enough," Underwood sings.

The familiar beats and handclapped rhythms are borrowed from "Somethin' Bad." The song will make its NFL television premiere on Sept. 11 at 8:30PM ET where Underwood will be joined by some of football's heavyweights. According to a press release, Underwood will be joined by 12 NFL players who have accounted for 41 Pro Bowl Super Bowl selections, seven Super Bowl rings and eight first-round draft picks. Players like 2016 Super Bowl MVP Von Miller and Eli Manning take part in the video for the song alongside Russell Wilson, Dez Bryant, Clay Matthews, Patrick Peterson, Odell Beckham Jr., Antonio Brown, Kam Chancellor, Tyrann Mathieu, Khalil Mack and Earl Thomas.
