'The Voice' Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope won country music fans over with a stellar performance of 'Changed' with Rascal Flatts on the wildly popular reality competition series. Now the newcomer will join the Grammy Award-winning trio on their upcoming headlining tour of the same name later this year.

Pope took to her official Twitter account on Tuesday (Feb. 26) to make the announcement, tweeting, "Incredibly excited to announce I will be supporting the Rascal Flatts tour this summer. I'll be playing right before the Band Perry. Yay!"

Despite her pop-rock roots, many fans are speculating that the 23-year-old Florida native will go the country route. She signed with Republic Nashville, a Music Row-based label. With her coveted slot on the Rascal Flatts tour, it seems likely we may hear new music from Pope on country radio in the not-too-distant future.

Speaking of her upcoming major label debut, Pope shares, “I’ve always been writing, so I have a lot of material ready to go. It’s going to be very uplifting, pop rock, maybe just a little hint of country in there."

She adds, "It’s going to be everything you’ve seen on the show, that ’90s, early 2000s feel, with a modern twist to it.”

Official dates for the 2013 Rascal Flatts Changed Tour have yet to be announced. The country music trio has been on the road since last summer promoting their latest studio album of the same name.
