Charlie Daniels Serves as Honorary Chair for the Tennessee Military Ball
Legendary country musician Charlie Daniels has been tapped to serve as the honorary chair of the 2012 Tennessee Military Ball, which takes place Thursday (Dec. 27) at Loews Vanderbilt Plaza in Nashville.
The conservative performer is an avid supporter of the military, which makes him the perfect chairman for the event. Hosted by Nashville's All Academy & ROTC Parents Club, the Tennessee Military Ball's mission is to recognize and honor cadets and midshipmen who attend the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, or any other military college. The event also recognizes students enrolled in an ROTC program in Tennessee.
Daniels is a longtime advocate for the military, regularly performing for troops stationed overseas and in the U.S., as well as releasing special projects to benefit veterans causes. The money raised from the 2012 Military Ball will go to the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps wounded service members by raising awareness and funds for programs and services that empower wounded military personnel.
