Chris Young Reveals Another Surprise: The I’m Comin’ Over Tour

As if a new record and album art weren’t enough, Chris Young announced yet one more surprise for fans this week — a new headlining tour, launching this fall.

The I’m Comin' Over tour will start in Savannah, Ga., on Oct. 22 and go through early December, ending in Green Bay, Wisc. The singer-songwriter is taking two up-and-coming artists along for the 14-show ride, Eric Paslay and Clare Dunn. Tickets for most dates on the tour go on sale Aug. 14, with the rest available Aug. 28. A full list of the dates is below.

By the fall, Young will be touring his new record, I’m Comin’ Over, which he announced this week via Facebook Mentions Live will be released later this year. Young took the opportunity to interact with fans and answer questions before he made the announcement as comments appeared in real time on the Facebook livestream. After teasing the news for nearly 10 minutes, he finally unveiled the surprise.

“I wanna show you guys somethin’,” he said, turning the camera around. “This right here is my new album cover and my new album title. So this is what will be coming out later on this year, and I wanted you guys to get a chance to see it first before anybody else did."

He went on to say he can’t wait for fans to hear the new tracks. "I’m really, really looking forward to you guys having this on your phone, on your computer, being able to play it and listen to it,” he gushed.

The new record will feature a duet with Cassadee Pope as well as a tune with the one and only Vince Gill, Young said recently. No official release date has been set, but perhaps he will take to the live stream again soon and let us know!
