The announcement of nominees for the 2011 CMA Awards is slowly becoming as big of a production as the actual award show. Next month, the Band Perry, Jake Owen, Jerrod Niemann and Thompson Square will announce the nominees in 12 categories, from two different cities. The first five will be broadcast on ABC's 'Good Morning America' at 8:30AM ET on September 6.

The Band Perry and Jake Owen will be in New York City on the set of 'Good Morning America' for the broadcast. The half hour segment will also include a performance by Owen. He's scheduled to play his current Top 5 hit 'Barefoot Blue Jean Night,' one week after he releases a new album by the same name.

Later that morning, Jerrod Niemann and Thompson Square will be in Nashville to announce the final seven categories of nominees. Their press conference from the historic Ryman Auditorium will not be aired on live television. The next day, CMT will air 'CMT Insider Special Edition: 2011 CMA Award Nominations,' featuring interviews and coverage of all the nominees. That airs at 11:30AM ET.

The 2011 CMA Awards will air on November 10 on ABC. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the show for the third straight year.
