Country Babies Born in 2014
Thousands of babies are born every day, but not every baby is a country star’s baby. Early on it’s been a slow go, but stars like Kelly Clarkson and Joe Don Rooney are still expecting meaning the next generation of superstars will be just as strong as the current generation.
Something about these particular infants enthralls us — what will they name him? Which parent will she look like? Will he have a camouflage onesie? When they finally arrive, we celebrate by liking photos on Instagram and Facebook, gushing about how adorable they are. Several of our beloved country stars welcomed little ones this year, and we’ve rounded up all the details for you in our list of country babies born in 2014.
Jesse Bo Janson
Chris Janson and wife Kelly Lynn have now leveled the boys vs. girls playing field in their family with the birth of their son Jesse Bo on March 19, 2014. He joins the couple's daughter Georgia, born two years before, and Lynn's son and daughter from a previous marriage.
Janson was ecstatic to have a boy, who was actually due on Janson's birthday, April 2.
Now that Jesse has entered the world, the singer is just as thrilled.
"God is so good, and has blessed us in so many ways. These kids are truly gifts, we are thankful, and I love being a dad,” he says.
Vivianne Rose Decker
Songwriting beauty Jessie James and her husband New York Jets player Eric Decker had their first child, Vivianne Rose Decker, March 18, 2014. The new mom appears to be doing well and enjoying parenthood so far. James posed for an Instagram photo next to her stroller, looking gorgeous, as usual -- not at all like she just had a baby.
"I love being a mommy!" she wrote -- and it shows!
Indiana Boon Feek
Joey and Rory -- a duo both on stage and off -- were thrilled to announce the birth of their baby girl, Indiana Boon Feek, born Feb. 17, 2014. Though Indiana was their first child as a couple, she joined big sisters Hopie and Heidi, Rory's daughters from a previous marriage.
Indiana's birth story is unique right down to her name. According to Rory, 'Indiana' was chosen for several reasons -- from his favorite movies, to the couple's native American heritage, to Joey's home state. But 'Boon' is even more one-of-a-kind. The name was chosen in honor of a young boy who is buried on the land behind the couple's farmhouse, and all those who come before us, says Rory.
The couple since discovered that Indiana has Down's Syndrome, but they view the diagnosis as a blessing.
Lincoln Monarch Smith
Country up-and-comer Granger Smith and his wife Amber welcomed their second child, Lincoln Monarch Smith, into the world Jan. 7, 2014. The new member of the family joins his sister, London, who is two years older. Though Lincoln was due to arrive Jan. 11, the birth was scheduled four days earlier. The 'Dirt Road Driveway' singer was overjoyed to expand his family.
“With a full heart, I announce the birth of our son Lincoln. Mom & big sister are good,” Smith wrote on Instagram.
