Lady Gaga's "Million Reasons" got a country makeover by Dan + Shay, who put their touch on a special version of the pop hit.

The duo of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney celebrated a whopping 100 million streams of their own hit "Tequila" by visiting Sound Stage Studios in Nashville to re-record the track, along with a smooth cover of the Gaga hit:

Gaga's original performance is stunning, and the country duo capture its intended nature as a duet. Smyers' big, soothing voice pours through on lyrics: "I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away / But baby, I just need one good one to stay / Baby I'm bleedin', bleedin'" as a sultry pop beat comprised of light synthesizers and drums play in the background.

They also breathed new life into a revived version of "Tequila" by adding a reggae-style spin. Smyers' voice still glows over an EDM-influenced melody that was added for the remixed version of what has become a country music smash:

Lady Gaga is the stage name of Stefani Germanotta, and she co-wrote "Million Reasons" with Mark Ronson and Hillary Lindsey, the latter of whom is one of the most sought-after songwriters in Nashville. The song appeared on several charts across the globe and earned a nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

"Tequila" is the lead single off Dan + Shay's 2018 self-titled album. Their current single, "Speechless," is on country radio. They continue out on the road with Chris Young's Losing Sleep World Tour through December.
