Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran will be forever linked. From their 'Everything Has Changed' duet on 'Red' to those pesky dating rumors to the fact that he is opening every date of her upcoming 2013 Red Tour, Swift and Sheeran are compadres -- more on the musical than the romantic level. Because of their musical kinship, the supremely talented Sheeran strapped on his acoustic guitar and delivered his own personal cover of Swift's latest smash 'I Knew You Were Trouble.'

Sheeran only covers the first verse and chorus of the hooky song, but he Sheeran'ed it. We think Swift would like what her tourmate did to her song. If not, she can just let him know once the trek kicks off next week. Or maybe they can turn the song into a duet or a ballad on the road. Swift is known for shaking things up onstage.

While Sheeran certainly isn't a country artist, Swift did invite a slew of up and coming country acts to open select dates on her tour -- among them Florida Georgia Line and Brett Eldredge, who tells Taste of Country, “Oh man, I can’t wait. It’s gonna be incredible.”

While often challenged, Swift's country cred remains firmly in tact approaching the kick off of her Red Tour. Fans will be able to enjoy some quality country openers along with Swift and Sheeran.
