Just a few months into his great return to country music and Garth Brooks is already back to breaking records. The legend is proving yet again that he’s the real deal, becoming the first artist ever to sell seven consecutive shows at Atlanta’s Philips Arena and toppling his own ticket sales record in Chicago. Now, he’s doing the same in the Sunshine State.

Brooks just beat his own record for tickets sold in Florida, previously set when he played five shows at the Jacksonville Coliseum in 1997. The shows 17 years ago entertained a total of 56,243 fans — breaking Elvis Presley’s 1975 record.

Now, nearly 20 years later, the ‘Friends in Low Places’ singer has flown past his 1997 record, and tickets are still selling. Who knows what number the superstar will land on in 2014?

Brooks will appear at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena Oct. 10, 12, 16, and 17, and fans can still snatch up their tickets before it’s too late. There is an eight ticket limit per person, bought via Ticketmaster by calling 1-800-745-3000, or by stopping at the venue box office.

In addition to his three-year world tour, Brooks has announced the release date of an upcoming new studio album which will house his comeback single, ‘People Loving People.’
