The release date and title for George Strait's hotly-anticipated new album have been confirmed. The legendary singer's management announced via Twitter on Sunday (March 17) that he will release 'Love Is Everything' on May 14. Incredibly, it is Strait's 40th studio album.

The first single from the album, 'Give It All We Got Tonight,' has already climbed into the Top 20, and Strait's label, MCA -- where he has spent his entire recording career -- has launched a campaign called 60 for 60, with the aim of making sure the song becomes Strait's 60th career No. 1 hit. Celebrities including Little Big Town, Scotty McCreery, Luke Bryan and Kacey Musgraves are part of the effort to honor Strait's career achievements by making the song No. 1 before he turns 61 on May 18.

Those achievements include more No. 1 hits than any other artist from any genre, including the Beatles and Elvis Presley. Strait has sold more than 68 million albums in a career spanning more than 30 years, earning him the nickname "King George."

Strait is currently embarked on the Cowboy Rides Away Tour, which will take him through this year and next year before he retires from the road. He has stated that he has no plans to retire from recording new music.
