With their latest single, '(Kissed You) Good Night,' inching closer and closer to the Top 5 on the country singles chart, Gloriana have a whole new reason to celebrate. Their radio-loved song has recently been certified gold for digital sales exceeding 500,000 copies sold.

'(Kissed You) Good Night' is the second single from the band’s anticipated sophomore studio album, titled 'A Thousand Miles Left Behind,' which is set for release on Emblem Music Group/Warner Bros. Records on July 31.

“It was actually the very first writing session that I had had in the time period when we were thinking about starting a new album,” the band's lead vocalist, Tom Gossin, told Taste of Country shortly after the song's release to country radio.

“We hadn’t even officially began writing for the new album, but I had a chance to get together with [my co-writer] Josh Kear. He was one of the writers on ‘Wild at Heart,’ and he’s just written some of my other like completely favorite country songs out there," he continued. "I just really jumped at the opportunity. I was anxious to meet him and get the chance to write. That was actually our first time writing together. It was just the two of us. I went over to his place. It was one of those days where the song just sort of happened. It’s always really nice when that happens, so you don’t have to labor over the start of the idea.”

Country fans seem to dig 'Kissed You (Good Night),' as it has been burning up the country singles chart since its release and is currently planted at No. 7 on Billboard and No. 6 on Mediabase / Country Aircheck. The song is the first Top 10 single for the band, and from the looks of it, will be their first chart-topper as well.
