Gwen Stefani Spoofs Pregnancy Rumors for April Fool’s Day

Gwen Stefani decided to have a little fun with her fans on April Fool's Day with a posting to her Instagram account hinting that she might be pregnant with Blake Shelton's baby.

The pregnancy rumors have swept the tabloids and various internet gossip sites virtually since the moment the couple confirmed their relationship in November of 2015. Those rumors have recently intensified, with Shelton repeatedly taking various reports to task with good humor via social media.

Stefani posted a picture of a sonogram on Friday (April 1), with the caption, "It's a girl" and a series of heart emojis. But it was just an April Fool's Day joke, according to People magazine, which reports that sources close to the star confirmed the "news" wasn't true.

The pop star has three children from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale, which ended right around the same time Shelton and Miranda Lambert decided to call it quits after four years of marriage. Like Shelton and Lambert's before it, their relationship has been the subject of intense scrutiny from both fans and celebrity media.

Shelton has learned to deal with the pressure with good humor for the most part, but he recently went to court to file suit against the parent company of InTouch Weekly after the tabloid published a lurid report alleging that he has a significant drinking problem that not only helped bring about his divorce, but has also had negative consequences for his career, landing him in rehab.

“Not only was I not in rehab or headed to rehab when it was published, but I also do not have a drinking problem,” he states in court documents that have become public. “All of this was false and went so far beyond prior stories about me that I had previously denied with humor.”

The country superstar goes on to state that his tweets and jokes about drinking are merely  “part of my schtick with my fans,” and says that “in no way indicates that I have an actual problem with alcohol.” He is suing Bauer Media for $2 million, claiming defamation and false invasion of privacy.
