Jackie Lee, ‘She Does’ [Listen]

Newcomer Jackie Lee's debut single is a sweet country love song that blends all of his influences. It's easy to hear Keith Whitley and Justin Timberlake in 'She Does.'

The Maryville, Tenn. native can flat-out sing. He opens up during each chorus of this rising ballad, expressing how he's a sucker for his sweetie:

“So I do / I give in / I fold now and then / And sometimes I don’t want to / But she does, so I do,” Lee sings.

The verses consider all the things he doesn't like doing, but does because he can't say no to the woman he loves. Going to church, shopping, playing songs he'd long forgotten ...:

“She likes breaking out my six-string / Saying baby, sing that love song / The one you wrote / I tell her no, who wants to hear me sing that old worn out tune? / But she does, so I do,” he says.

Lee is just 23 years old, but his performance is convincing. 'She Does' is a country love song that stands out from so many others on the radio.
