Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter Maddie is recovering quite well and getting back to normal life after the severe ATV accident she was in on Feb. 5.

An Instagram video posted on Tuesday (Feb. 21) shows Maddie playing basketball in a gym with her friends, shooting the ball perfectly into the net. Spears reveals in the caption that it's her daughter's first basketball practice since the accident, accompanied by the hashtag #Godisgood.

Spears posted an update on her daughter's condition on Instagram a week after the accident, saying that Maddie wasn't quite ready to head back to school, but made a special trip to deliver Valentine's Day treats to her friends and classmates. "It was a great moment for us after everything that has happened," Spears writes in the social media post.

Artists Who Have Suffered Terrible Tragedies

Maddie suffered major injuries when a severe ATV accident left her trapped underwater for two minutes after she tried to avoid a drainage ditch and crashed into a nearby pond on her family's property in Kentwood, La. Her mother and stepfather attempted to save her to no avail. First responders were on the scene in minutes to free her from the seatbelt and she was airlifted to a hospital in New Orleans, where she was unconscious for two days.

Spears' daughter made a miraculous recovery when she awoke and recognized all of her family members' faces just days after the accident. Jamie Watson, Spears' husband and Maddie's stepfather, thanked fans for their support in an Instagram post on Feb. 7, after they found out the 8-year-old did not suffer from any neurological damage from the accident.
