Jason Aldean’s ‘Just Gettin’ Started’ returns to what fans have come to count on from the Georgia-born country rocker. Hard-charging, guitar-drenched songs about love in the fast lane earned him a fine reputation. This latest cut builds on his legacy.

The track tells the story of two lovers who can barely contain themselves around each other as they go out on Friday night. After the “baby making” single ‘Burnin’ It Down,’ ‘Just Gettin’ Started’ feels like foreplay. But it’s only cool by comparison.

We ain't even turned up the radio / Ain't been two miles down the road / The way you look at me baby I don't know / If we even gonna make it to the party,” Aldean sings on the second single from ‘Old Boots, New Dirt.’

Chris DeStefano, Rhett Akins and Ashley Gorley wrote this uptempo love song. Aldean performs it with renewed passion. The energy that made his lead single from the new album so interesting isn’t lost here.

Already got your shoes off / And you talking about slippin' off / No, we ain't even found your friends, saying / You already wanna get lost,” he sings at the second verse.

Like many of the songs on 'Old Boots, New Dirt,' 'Just Gettin' Started isn't that much of a deviation from what made Aldean famous. It's more of a progression.

Why Fans Will Love It: 'Just Gettin' Started' is a vintage Aldean. The hard-driving love song mixes guitars and asphalt for a sound his longtime fans will love.

Key Lyrics: "Yeah we gotta whole lot of moon light left / Already having the time of my lives / And we're just getting started tonight"

Did You Know?: Each of Aldean's five previous studio albums has gone Platinum for one million copies sold. After just a few weeks, 'Old Boots New Dirt' is halfway there.
