Jason Aldean won the 2013 ACM Award for Male Vocalist of the Year against some super stiff competition, like Eric Church and Blake Shelton, to name a precious few. When the '1994' singer took the stage to accept his trophy, he seemed genuinely shocked and surprised to have beaten peers that he loves and respects.

"This is really surprising," Aldean said once he took his spot at the podium. "I am friends with and fans of everyone in this category." He took a second to shout out each of his fellow nominees, which is always a classy speech move at an awards show.

Aldean appeared to be humbled as he delivered the rest of his thank yous. The singer continued, "I am glad I get to sing for a living and I'm glad the fans dig it. I don't know what to say. I love what I do and I appreciate you guys letting me do it."

He didn't say anything else and he didn't need to. Those words of appreciation were enough and his point was well taken.

Congrats, Jason Aldean, on being the 2013 ACMs Male Vocalist of the Year.
