Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday (Dec. 6). The singer and her husband, Justin Miller, announced the arrival of Magnus Hamilton Miller in a statement to the media on Friday morning. The couple have been married for one year, and this is the first baby for both of them.

"We are so thankful for all the prayers and support and are excited to take some time together as a new family," Nettles said (quote via the Associated Press). No other information was made available at the time of announcement, and nothing has been said on any of the duo's social media pages.

This makes the third baby for the band, as Kristian Bush has two kids with his wife, Jill. “The only piece of advice I gave her was [to] stop reading birthing books and start reading parenting books,” Bush told Taste of Country last month, speaking of what he told Nettles.

“Right when you get pregnant, forget it. Nature’s going to take care of you," he advised her. "What you need to do is figure out what to do the day after [you have a child], because you’re only pregnant for nine months, but you are a parent for the rest of your life.”

The 38-year-old Sugarland frontwoman announced her pregnancy in June. At the time, she said she was expecting in November.
