Joey + Rory Feek got a beautiful surprise on Monday morning (July 13), when the postman brought an extra-large batch of love and support with the mail.

The couple are currently in Chicago at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, where Joey recently underwent extensive surgery as part of her ongoing battle with cancer. When the mail arrived Monday morning, they found cards, letters and packages from all over had arrived for Joey.

"The mailman delivered a few 'get well' cards to the hospital for Joey this morning — a few hundred that is!" the couple posted to Facebook. "So beautiful. Sometimes thank you isn't enough."

Joey was recently diagnosed with Stage IV cervical cancer, a year after undergoing surgery during her first bout with the disease. She had surgery again on July 9, and the following day Rory reached out to let fans know that everything had gone as well as could be expected. There are still some big challenges ahead, including 18 weeks of very aggressive chemotherapy, but the couple are holding fast in their faith.

"Some roads we go down in life are smooth and easy, and some we take are rough and rocky," Rory reflects. "This one’s gonna be a little bumpy and scary at times … but we’re gonna go down it together the same way we’ve gone down all the ones before — hand in hand — taking it one moment, one hour, and one day at a time."
