Kathy Mattea's late '80s trucking song is actually a story of a man anxious to give up working for a slower-paced life with his wife. Mattea's No. 1 hit still resonates with an older generation who appreciate simple gestures like roses to commemorate an important occasion.

"Eighteen wheels and a dozen roses / Ten more miles on his four day run / A few more songs on the all night radio / And he'll spend the rest if his life with the one that he loves," she sings. The song makes the Top 100 Country Loves Songs list, but also our list of the Top 100 Country Songs of all time.
