If you’ve been straining to decipher that one line in your new favorite summertime jam from Keith Urban, "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16," you can back away from the speakers, because the lyric video has made its debut.

The video has a somewhat early-‘90s-inspired vibe, featuring neon, graffiti-style words on a black background, which compliments the carefree coming-of-age attitude of the song.

"John Cougar…" is already becoming the go-to feel-good song blaring at cookouts and beach hangs after its first live performance on the CMT Music Awards. It’s a tale of the building of an identity as a young person growing up in America’s heartland, brimming with pop culture references and symbols of classic scenes of Americana.

The breezy tune is the first single off Urban’s upcoming album, which has yet to set a release date. The CMT Awards performance went off without a hitch, in which he sported not only a new ‘do but a new instrument as well, playing bass rather than his standard electric guitar. Urban also attended the show as a nominee for Male Video of the Year for his hit "Cop Car," which ended up going to Jason Aldean.

He gave a standout performance at the Taste of Country Music Festival last week, and is also performing at Country Jam in Colorado this weekend.
