Kelly Clarkson isn't shy about her fandom for Little Big Town. The singer covered their single 'Girl Crush' at a concert in California over the weekend.

Clarkson was performing a free concert in Cerritos on Saturday night (Nov. 22) to celebrate the grand opening of the new Microsoft store at Los Cerritos center. She couldn't resist slipping in the catchy tune, which is from LBT's latest album, 'Pain Killer.'

"I love this group," the 'American Idol' winner told the crowd. "Anybody like Little Big Town here? Their new album is so freakin' good. It's so well done. This song is so cool. I think chicks really get this. I'm not a dude, so I don't know -- you might get it, too."

The song is cleverly written from the perspective of a woman who wants all of the qualities of her romantic rival for herself, "'Cause maybe then you'd want me just as much."

Clarkson's version was loose and lighthearted, as she changed a lyric line to tell her guitarist to ease up on the tempo: "I've got a hard rush and it ain't slowing down -- but we could if we wanted to."

She showed off the full range of her spectacular voice as she built the end of the song to a big finish.

Clarkson has long been a friend to country, releasing duets with Reba McEntire and Jason Aldean, and recording 'Silent Night' with Reba and Trisha Yearwood for her Christmas album last year. This year, she teamed with Yearwood again for 'PrizeFighter.'

The 'Tie It Up' singer will host her first annual Miracle on Broadway benefit concert on Dec. 20, featuring performances by McEntire, Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, Kacey Musgraves, Hayley Williams of Paramore, 'Nashville' star Charles Esten, Meghan Trainor and more.
