Kelsea Ballerini recently got to be one of the honored guests on Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour, singing her No. 1 hit “Love Me Like You Mean It” during Swift’s Nashville stop in late September, and it turns out the "Wildest Dreams" singer doesn’t do anything halfway. Ballerini was taken by surprise when she arrived to rehearse.

“'I walked in that day, and she’s like, 'We have pink hearts falling from the ceiling, and we have choreography,'” Ballerini told Taste of Country Nights backstage at the CMA Awards. “I was like, ‘Okay, we’re doin’ it!’"

Playing with Swift was a blast, she says, and it probably didn’t hurt that the other guests that night were Steven Tyler and Alison Krauss.

"It was one of the coolest things of my life,” she gushes.

Ballerini has made friends with Swift over the last year or so, and even invited her, along with Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, to her housewarming party. Ballerini tells Taste of Country her fellow country ladies were exceptionally generous with their contributions to her new abode.

“Both of them spoiled the crap out of me and got me so much stuff for my new apartment,” she shares. “[Swift] got a marquee light, all this crazy stuff — she’s awesome. Hillary, I think, bought the entire Anthropologie store. Everything."
