Kelsea Ballerini loves to engage with her fans online, but the country singer is taking a break from Twitter after calling out some users for their uncivil tone.

"Can't even believe I'm having to post this, but my timeline is FILLED with people being so mean to each other. I love my fans so so much, & am sad to see the hate in these comments to each other. It's not what I stand for, I just want to make music and people happy. That's it," she posted to Twitter on Friday (July 14).

A moment later she added, "Gonna take a little break from twitter and refocus on the music."

Ballerini is getting set for the launch of her much-anticipated sophomore album, and she recently released a spectacular, tragic video for its lead single, "Legends."

She debuted another new song, "I Hate Love Songs" during the 2017 CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium in Nashville in June. Ballerini says her next album, which is expected in 2017, will veer away from the light-hearted subject matter of her smash debut, The First Time, and focus more on serious themes.

Fans can expect songs about a difficult breakup and tracks about finding new love on her upcoming project. Ballerini has been dating singer Morgan Evans for the last year, and they announced their engagement on Christmas Day in 2016.
