Jennifer Nettles introduced the Kenny Rogers tribute at the 2013 CMA Awards (Nov. 6). Rogers was honored with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, but before he received his trophy, he enjoyed modern acts performing a medley of his songs before joining him in song.

Nettles serenaded Rogers and then introduced Rascal Flatts, who performed 'Just Dropped In.' Rogers remained on the side of the stage and enjoyed the Flatts' performance.

The trio was followed by Darius Rucker, who performed 'The Gambler.' Rucker was joined by, oh, the whole entire crowd in the auditorium, who sang the "know when to hold 'em" hook.

It was Nettles in her low-cut jumpsuit who got to sing with Rogers himself. They duetted on 'Islands in the Stream,' the legend's iconic duet with Dolly Parton.

Yes, Taylor Swift was singing along in the crowd. So was Jason Aldean. And Keith Urban. And Tim McGraw. And everyone in Bridgestone Arena at the 2013 CMA Awards!

Nettles was a good compliment to Rogers and a nice fill-in for Parton. The song ended with Rucker and Flatts joining in on the stage.

"I'd like to say a special thanks to Rascal Flatts and my buddy Darius Rucker who has been there every time I've needed him and my new best female friend, Jennifer Nettles," Rogers said while accepting his award.

How humble of a country icon to make sure to celebrate others in his acceptance speech. What a classy touch, Kenny!
