It looks like Lady Antebellum fans won't have to wait long for a new record! Less than a year after releasing their latest, the trio share that they are gearing up to start work on another one.

The band's fourth studio album, 'Golden,' was released in May 2013, and just four months later, they released a deluxe version with three additional tracks. But this week, Hillary Scott revealed to the Hartford Courant that they are already thinking about what's next.

“In the next couple of weeks, we’re going to start bringing songwriters out to start writing for the next project. I can’t tell you 100-percent where we’re going, because we’re still figuring it out," the Lady A songstress dishes. "It’s exploration time. We’re going to take our time. We’re not going to rush. We’re just going to write and be very selective.”

Scott says the band had success with 'Golden' by embracing risk and realizing that "when you are pushing yourself to not go back to the same well, you're gonna come up with something different."

And she assures they won't back down with this new record, either.

“We’re going to explore what we’re not afraid to talk about, [what] we’re not afraid to do production-wise,” Scott spills. “We’re not going to go too far left of the core of who we are, but I definitely think that we’re going to see where it’s going to take us, and we can always reel ourselves back in."

Perhaps the biggest factor in creating a record to be proud of, Scott divulges, is to trust your instincts. "The songs that stand out are the ones you go back to, over and over and over," she says. "That’s my personal litmus test: if I want to go back and listen to it, there’s a reason.” And with seven No. 1 singles, fans don't seem likely to disagree.
