Some kids love playing dress-up, but 4-year-old Mayhem likes to dress up and construct her gowns ... out of paper, no less! And her version of Taylor Swift's Jenny Packham gown will have you pulling out your your scissors and glue.

Mayhem's love of fashion -- as demonstrated on her super popular Instagram page -- had her mom constantly reaching into her dress-up box, but they eventually exhausted all of their store-bought princess dress options. Soon, the adorable little girl started creating her own fashions by wrapping herself in sheets and scarves, which gave her mom an idea: craft supplies.

Nine months into their at-home designing, the mother-daughter pair hasn't stopped making gorgeous dresses out of paper. Other supplies they generally use include tissue paper, wrapping paper, gift bags, clear packing tape and glue.

Mayhem's mom explains that she and her little one come up with the gown ideas together, and surprisingly, they split the work.

"The ideas are pretty much a 50/50 split, but Mayhem constructs a lot more than most people would probably believe," she explains. "That's one of the best things about this project, I see her learning new skills every single day."

"At this point, she knows exactly how many sheets of construction paper she needs to make herself a top and a bottom," Mom adds. "She can lay the entire thing out and tape it together all by herself. Definitely, the more complex designs have more of my time invested, but she's literally always beside me learning something new if she's not tearing or taping or gluing while I am."

The duo's replication of Swift's 2012 CMA Awards gown is pretty spectacular. A floor-length gold dress with intricate red flowers cascading throughout may seem like a tough project to re-create with paper. However, the remade version -- boasting pale yellow construction paper, tissue-paper blooms and lots of tape -- is perfection.

Mayhem adorably models the gown with her bangs pushed forward in a similar fashion to the 'Red' hitmaker. Her little hand on her hip completes the look, and we think Packham and Swift would both be proud.

Mayhem's paper gowns are inspired by just about everything. Red carpet looks, 'Project Runway' creations, movies and even trips to the aquarium are all fair game.
