Miranda Lambert is taking a little time away from being on stage. The 'Automatic' singer has announced she's taking a break from touring and although you may expect her to be looking forward to her time away, she's also a little nervous.

Don't worry Lambert fans, the break will only last for a few months but she thinks it could also benefit her in the long run. It's the first real time she's taken off from touring in 13 years!

“This is the longest break I’ve ever had since I was 17, since I started playing music,” the 30-year-old singer says.

She even calls this time away from the road a little scary -- and we can imagine! “It’s kind of, like, scary ’cause you just get your autopilot, and you know what you’re doing, you know what you’re doing," she explains with a laugh. "And then it’s like, ‘Wait a minute, do I really, do I remember how to do this?’”

We bet her husband, Blake Shelton, won't mind giving his wife a refresher course. She says the break isn't all scary though. It may even help her keep on doing what she does -- and maybe even improve!

“It’s good, too, because then your batteries are recharged and you feel like you have more to give," she says. All her touring and handwork has paid off as Lambert just picked up her fifth straight Female Vocalist of the Year ACM. Look for her to play a few scattered shows before returning to the road in July.
