Whether you love NASCAR or not, everyone knows that Danica Patrick is the fastest female driver around. In fact, Patrick has risen to racing star status by being one of the more successful female drivers in history. Really, who would be a better pick to star in Miranda Lambert's 'Fastest Girl in Town' music video? After several hints by the country star and the racing phenom on Twitter, now we know that Patrick snagged the lead role in Lambert's forthcoming clip.

The buzz started earlier this week, when Lambert hinted on Twitter that her new music video would have some serious star power. "I might be headed to make a video....:) and I might have a really cool guest star or 2....big day tomorrow!:) stay tuned...." she tweeted to her 1 million followers on Tuesday (June 26).

But despite the country star's hint, nobody knew who was starring in the music video until Wednesday, when Lambert and Patrick both posted photos of one another to with the message, "Hey hot stuff...you look like the "Fastest Girl In Town"...."

Lambert's snapshot shows herself smiling sweetly, with only the back of Patrick's head visible in the photo. But when Patrick tweeted the same shot from a different angle -- with her entire face showing and the back of Lambert's head -- the cat was out of the bag.

The song's title sounds like it was written solely for Patrick, but the lyrics tell a different story. In typical Lambert style, 'Fastest Girl in Town' is all about living fast and getting into trouble with a bad boy (Blake Shelton?).

Luckily, the racecar driving lady has experience on a music video set. Patrick starred alongside Dale Earnhardt, Jr., in Jay-Z's 2006 video for 'Show Me What You Got.'

So far, it sounds like the shoot is going off without a hitch. "Long video shoot. Up since 5 am! But...it's gonna be sooooo worth it! Probably my favorite one ever! And I made a new friend..." Lambert tweeted last night (June 27).

If we had to guess, Patrick and Lambert are getting along swimmingly -- a good recipe for a great music video. We can't wait to see the finished product of 'Fastest Girl in Town'!
