Miranda Lambert's understated ballad from 'Revolution' won the singer a Grammy, two CMA awards and three ACMs. Few country songs touched such a wide range of people without sacrificing artistic edge. 'The House That Built Me' immediately felt like an honest memory for millions of Americans, sung by an unlikely country bad girl.

Perhaps that's what made song No. 24 on the Top 100 Country Songs list so appealing. Not only did we get this beautiful piece of music, but we got to see Lambert without the fire and bravado. That could be overthinking it --  something the singer didn't do on this hit.
