After Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley's hilarious shoutout to Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus, complete with a black and white striped suit and foam finger, an even more talented duo took to the stage -- Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban. And thank goodness, there was no twerking involved -- just great singing.

'We Were Us' is Urban's new single, which features Lambert, and they certainly pulled off an entertaining set at the 2013 CMA Awards.

Lambert, who is looking as sleek and trim as ever, wore a black miniskirt embellished with rhinestones and a leather peplum shirt. She made sure to really glam it up, with her blonde locks in perfect waves and wearing tall, heeled cowboy boots that caught the light every time she strode across the stage. Urban, of course, looked cool as ever in his usual jeans and t-shirt. Only someone like him could make casual extremely hip.

The CMA Awards audience loved the singers' performance. Lambert showed off her sassy stage presence with lots of stomping and head shaking, while Urban did one thing that he does really well: shred it on the guitar.

Shelton, who sang along with every word from the crowd, gave the duet a standing ovation. And Paisley was grinning from ear to ear after the performance, exclaiming comically, "How 'bout that! Now go back to your actual spouses."
