At least one person is saddened by the end of the NHL lockout. When games resume later this month, Carrie Underwood will lose her favorite traveling companion. The labor dispute provided extra time for the singer and her husband Mike Fisher to vacation and just be man and wife -- a luxury not afforded to them often. Upon hearing the news, Underwood took to Twitter to bemoan the NHL season's start (in good fun of course).

"Well, folks, hockey is back! Very bittersweet...I just lost my purse holder but gained cheering on my hot husband as he kicks butt! #GoPreds," Underwood joked. Fisher has been spotted many times with his wife's purse tucked under his arm at country music-related red carpet events, where she is the obvious star.

Fisher plays for the Nashville Predators, the team with the third best record in the Western Conference last season. However, they were knocked out of the playoffs in the conference semi-finals by the Phoenix Coyotes.

Underwood will get a little more time with her man before her career takes them away from one another. Her Blown Away Tour doesn't resume until Feb. 13 in Colorado Springs, Colo. She tours pretty heavily through May before wrapping up for some time off in the summer. The singer begins her own playoff this week, squaring off against Little Big Town in the inaugural Taste of Country Bowl.
