Fans of ABC's hit show 'Nashville' may be excited about the newest addition on set. Not only is he a favored Hollywood actor, but he's also tall, dark and handsome.

Oliver Hudson -- son of famous actress Goldie Hawn and brother of Kate Hudson -- has joined the glitzy cast of 'Nashville,' which was recently renewed for its second season. He's no stranger to television, most recently starring in CBS' 'Rules of Engagement.'

Hudson will work alongside the show's stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, and according to Huffington Post, will play a potential new love interest for Rayna (played by Britton), acting as her label's new executive when Season 2 picks up with the aftermath of her and Deacon's (Charles Esten) car accident. Since he is playing Rayna's love interest, it sounds like she definitely survived the traumatic event.

The cast is doing well for itself, as Britton recently received an Emmy nomination and sisters Lennon and Maisy have been added as regulars due to popular demand. Hudson, who is a father of three, should have no problem fitting in.

The new season of 'Nashville' begins Sept. 25.
