RaeLynn's new single is called "For a Boy," so she's decided to pay tribute to the "boys" in country music that inspired or helped her young country music career. Each week the Texan will name one male country artist she's crazy about and explain why.

The "For a Boy" series has named a "Riser," a rising superstar, a hot new duo and a group of country all-stars so far. In addition to sharing her stories with Taste of Country, RaeLynn is also spilling the news weekly on Taste of Country Nights radio with Sam Alex. Every week she'll name another artist she has a (music) crush on. Who would you add?

"For a Boy" is a new single from RaeLynn's debut studio album and the followup to the Top 20 hit "God Made Girls." This summer she's playing festivals nationwide while touring with Rascal Flatts and Scotty McCreery on the Riot tour.

I'm a Texas girl through and through so it shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody that I'm a big fan of Eli Young Band. I saw them at GatorFest in my hometown when I was 16 years old and have followed them ever since. Their songwriting is as good as anything you'll hear on the radio. It's hard to pick, but I would say my favorite song of theirs is "Crazy Girl." I can promise you that any time you're in the car with me and that song comes on, it'll be put on full blast and you can cue up the sing-along for me.

I remember back when I was 18 we were all sitting in my first apartment in Nashville. None of us were signed yet and we were listening to demos talking about how cool it would be to go on a big tour. Now when I look back, it's so fun to see the success we've all had so far. I instantly fell in love with "19 You + Me" when they first played it for me. They are just so entertaining and can sing up there with Jesus. I'm so excited to see what's to come with these two!

I am absolutely obsessed with Sam Hunt. He's very unique. The Montevallo album is absolutely killer ("Ex to See" is my jam). I opened for him this past week at CMA Fest and just watched in awe during his live show. He draws the crowd in and is just so dang entertaining! And he's one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He does his own thing and I admire that in an artist.

  • Rascal Flatts

"I have always been a huge fan of Rascal Flatts."

I couldn't believe it when they invited me out on their Riot tour this year. We only have one weekend under our belts so far but I can already tell this is going to be an absolute RIOT (see what I did there?). Their lyrics are always so uplifting and carry a great message. "God Bless the Broken Road" has been one of my favorite country songs ever since I heard it. And their three-part harmonies? Are you kidding? ALWAYS on point. I'm so excited to get to know them a little more over the next few months and so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue to grow and learn from the best in the business.

  • Dierks Bentley

    "I mean, forget about it!"

I got to know Dierks while on tour with him and Miranda Lambert on the Locked & ReLoaded tour two years ago. He is so much fun! I am obsessed with his song "Riser" … and the entire record, to be honest with you. I mean, forget about it! His writing is really meaningful and I love all that it stands for. Not to mention, his voice sounds amazing! I really respect and admire that he is always himself and has never tried to change who he is. That's truly something special for an artist like Dierks and I can only hope to do the same with my own career.
